It's a Renters Market for Boat Docks

A new platform founded in Maryland is helping boaters connect and rent from dock owners.

Empty docks along Maryland shorelines may not stay too quiet for long. Dock owners can list, and boaters can rent.

The app called Dockshare creates a private experience in a concept you may have heard of before.

“We’re very similar to Uber, very similar to Airbnb,” said product manager Lauren Pearlowitz. “So, the idea is that you can book on-demand, however long or short you need.”
