What to Expect When Booking on Dockshare
Whether you are boating, kayaking, or just need to find a waterfront space, Dockshare makes it easy for you to find a dock rental:
Search
Start by searching for your desired location. Use the slider to adjust the distance you are willing to dock from your desired location to find a dock rental. You can also filter the search results by travel date and boat needs (such as minimum water depth, slip length, and slip width.)
Request to Book
First, tap the calendar to view the dock’s availability. If the dock is not availabile, dates will be crossed out. Choose your selected dates and make a reservation. Don’t worry – this only places a hold on your credit card! You won’t be charged until later (and for multi-month bookings, you’ll only be charged a month at a time).

Host Approval
Once you make a reservation, the host will be notified and they’ll need to approve your booking.
Verification
After the host approves your booking, you’ll receive an email from our property protection provider, Superhog, asking you to verify some information to ensure the booking is protected. This only take a minute!
Connect
Once you’re verified, you will receive a confirmation email with the dock’s exact address and the host’s direct contact information so you can firm up your arrival arrangements.
At this time, you are free to visit the dock in advance of your booking to make sure it’s a good fit. You may arrange a dock preview within 7 days after the booking was approved, or up until 36 hours before your booking starts (whichever comes first). If it’s not a good fit for any reason, let us know – the hold on your card will be dropped and you won’t be charged a dime.
Payment
Your card will be charged 7 days after your initial reservation request, or on the first day of the booking, whichever comes first. For long-term, multi-month bookings, you’ll only be charged for the first month in the beginning. After that, you’ll be charged on a monthly basis until the end of the booking.
